After spending 35 years in South Bucks running my own business in industry, my  family and I moved to this delightful part of Devon to find a different life style, we have and we all love it.

We opened the Well & Flint  Cottage in December 2006 after completely renovating them, we are graded 4 & 5 Star plus a GOLD award for Stable Cottage which was opened in 2009, this award is given to the very best accommodation in England with only the top 20% of Five Star properties achieving this award,  our cottages were last inspected  25th October 2018  by Visit Britain and we retained all our gradings, this is your only quality guarantee in the self catering sector, we are also proud to announce  that we achieved a GOLD award again from Green Tourism Business Scheme.

These grades are difficult to achieve and clearly prove our commitment to the environment and quality,  everything  is constantly monitored, our cleaners even leave feedback forms to constantly monitor there cleaning quality,  we check everything in great detail between clients leaving and new ones arriving. We will  accept your grocery order from Tesco , Sainsbury's or Waitrose  and put  the items requiring refrigeration away for you, so you can start to enjoy your holiday as soon as you arrive, why start your holiday with a visit to a supermarket ?.  We also include a cream tea & milk  waiting for you on your arrival.

Our Cottages and house are set in 20 acres of our own land where you will see our horses grazing and an abundance of wildlife, we are members of Devon Wildlife Trust which is the only organisation exclusively concerned with all aspects of wildlife conservation in Devon. The gardens are maintained constantly so that you will enjoy your stay to the full at Long Chimney, just think you could be enjoying a nice relaxing time in your cottage and if you have children, they can be enjoying themselves in the games room just a short distance away.

There is also  a Fitness Room / Gym & Sauna all included free of charge  for the exclusive use of our guests. Wi-Fi is  available in all cottages.  All  our Mattresses & Pillows are  Hypoallergenic / Anti Allergy products. crisp sheets and fluffy towels await.  There is also a good selection of board games in all cottages, you can also BBQ next to the swimming pool for extra enjoyment of you holiday, we just ask you leave the BBQ and patio clean  when you leave.

In conclusion , we have put everything that we found missing in cottage accommodation we rented as tourists to Devon, into Long Chimney  Cottages, that's why we invite you to join us at Long Chimney for a truly enjoyable break. The cottages have been fully redecorated  April 2016, carpets have also been cleaned throughout  April 2016 to maintain the high quality we offer. Our prices are fully inclusive  no other charges are made apart for breakages (minor ones excluded). Should you wish to pre-arrange our babysitting service please telephone in advance to book. we accept small to medium size dogs in all cottages, .  Please read Pets section for terms and conditions regarding dogs.

We hope you book with Long Chimney  Cottages, you can book and pay online and we  prefer Debit Card or Cheque please,  we also provide a   Guest Information folder  giving details of places of interest for adults and children alike,  there is also a booklet recommending restaurants, pubs, markets, and days out without the car, health and safety advise etc., please look at the inventory list online it will avoid duplication of  items you require on holiday.
