We accept small to medium size dogs in all of our cottages, we want your pet to be as comfortable as you so we offer, (PLEASE REQUEST WHEN BOOKING), a bed and blanket, washable throws to protect sofas, bowls and feeding mats, a hose or watering can old towels and brushes for washing and drying muddy fur, map showing local walks, spare lead and collar, a cage or crate, biodegradable poo bags and contact details of local vet. There is no charge for assistance dogs, Guide Dogs, Hearing Dogs, Service Dogs they are welcome. Some of our past pet guests include a cat, budgies, a parrot and a tortoise. There is a hose pipe available to wash your dog in the car park.We also have details of a local VET in the unlikely event your dog becomes unwell on its holiday. We cannot accept puppies under 6 months of age.
When you depart at the end of your stay please leave the cottage as dog hair free as possible, should our cleaning contractors need to spend additional time cleaning we will need to pass on their charges which will be £40.00, as yet we have not found it necessary to apply this charge!.
Dogs are not permitted around the pool area or in our leisure facilities for obvious reasons, they must be on leads at all times on the property as we have cats, chickens, horses and sometimes sheep on our land. Please do not allow dogs in Bedrooms as extra cleaning charge may be applied. We can supply towels for your pet free of charge just ask.
We understand that our guests will want to leave there dogs in the cottage at some time, so bearing this is mind we have stopped asking our guests not to leave there dogs in the cottages unatended, you know your own pet, you live with it, if you feel you can leave your pet in the cottage safely and without damage to the cottage then please do so (although obviously not all day, please close bedroom doors, damage caused by pets will be charged for). There is a daily charge indicated on the pricing page.
There are fantastic walks throughout the area and we have O/S Maps for your use in
all of our Cottages, most of the local Pubs allow dogs. 2020 Season
